A classic, compact oriental tea chest, a popular design in Japanese and Chinese cabinet making traditions. Solidly crafted from fine quality, dark Cherry stained Rosewood, with unique "Shou" symbol medallions, and intricately carved geometric "key" design center and side rails. The overhead drawers were designed for storing bags of loose tea, the lower cabinet for porcelain pots and cups, and a center shelf for preparing the tea service. These cabinets are not deep, and don''t take much floor space in the living room, bedroom, hall way, or landing.

As good as it looks
This is a lovely piece of furniture. It arrived in beautiful condition and it had been packed really well. It's in my entry hall where if fits really well. I have other pieces of oriental furniture and it blends beautifully with the older antique pieces. Altogether a really great buy.

elegant utility
Drawers, a double cabinet, and shelf space - so much in a diminutive footprint. Classic lines and good wood. I set mine along the hall and use it every day.
