Lovely Shoji Design Lamp
Quite lovely. Gives off much more light than the one I replaced, which was nowhere nearly as translucent. 2 60-watt equivalent LEDs give off more light than 3 100-watt equivalents from my old lamp.
The shoji motif fits well with the rest of my Japanese and Scandinavian style furniture.
Instructions could have been a bit clearer and the wrench supplied was virtually useless (I had to use my own). But generally speaking, assembly was reasonably easy considering the sheer size of the lamp. Make sure you unpack it somewhere with plenty of floor space.
Looks lovely, well-made, perfect for my space
Needed to create separation between my bed and the rest of my small studio apartment. The white shoji screen lets light in and feels bright while definitely space and providing some privacy. It's perfect!

PERFECT ANSWER FOR PRIVACY
This four panel screen was sent without a scratch. It's in tip top condition and a beautiful addition to my apartment. Beautiful Brasserie!
This Parisian room divider is one of my all-time favorite pieces of decor. I purchased the first one several years ago and had to part ways with it because I lost my home. Now, I have a second one. The scenes on both sides are exquisite. It's my Surprise! piece that adds something different to my decor. I want to purchase another so I enjoy both sides simultaneously.

We are very happy with our screens. They were exactly what we needed. The light gray color is beautiful and it works so well in our room. We purchased a four panel and a five panel and they are perfect. They provide the right amount of privacy and yet too not dark in the room.

We have several rooms with large southwest facing windows that get too much sun in the late afternoon but we didn't want to install blinds.These screens worked perfectly to filter out the glare and heat. They look attractive and fit our decor. Plus they're light, easy to move and fold up so we can stash them in a corner when not in use. Perfect solution for us.
It's a new world!
Wish I could upload a picture. These lamps have transformed my living room. Threads on the lights are awful though, requires some extra tools. Definitely worth it though.
pairs perfectly with a zabuton!
My goal was to get a zabuton for casual dining (I got a black one, hattan size). The problem was back support! I'm tall and thin, so, like everything that's tall and thin, I'm liable to collapse without the enough support. Sitting for any length of time is really uncomfortable for me.
This zaisu was the perfect solution!! It's the perfect width to accommodate a hattan zabuton, and just the right height to support the lower back. It's sturdy! It folds up very compactly (which is great for a small apartment). Even by itself the pattern scheme is balanced, both in terms of color and occasion!...but pairs very nicely with any pattern of black zabuton (mine had a simple asanoha).
Overall I'm very pleased with this product!!
Very retro
Instead of hanging the globe, I placed it on top of a torchere, the opening at the bottom of the globe fitting over the light bulb. Looks good lit and unlit.

Very Pleased
It's not easy to find a quality small end table to use in our Asian themed powder room. This sits in front of the toilet and holds rolls of toilet paper on the shelves which is easily viewed by guests. Entering the powder room you only see the decorative Shoji side so the rolls are nicely hidden. Much more elegant than having rolls of toilet paper on a metal holder. We bought it in black which matches with our accessories. It is also a good flat surface to hold a decorative plant, or guests can place their cell phones on it. It was packed very well and arrived in good shape.

Well made and delightful to look at
At a price this affordable, I was expecting something more cheaply made. I was relieved when I unboxed my shoji screen to find it reasonably built and not nearly as flimsy as expected. My wife and I work from home and share an office. When we have remote meetings at the same time, the shoji screen allows us to move around without making a cameo in the other's meeting. The screen is much better looking than Zoom backgrounds, and adds a pleasant element to the room.

Perfect for intended use
I purchased this movable screen because the sun shines directly into my living room in the morning. I use it every morning so that I can sit on my couch without the sun shining into my eyes. It's beautiful and easy to move. When it's not in use it looks as beautiful as a painting in my living room next to the wall. There are protective caps on the bottom so the screen won't be ruined moving it back and forth. I saw this on other websites for more money.

Perfect and easy to set up
This room divider is used to section off part of a studio apartment for a bedroom area. I love how easy it was to assemble. Indoor plants look amazing on the shelf and the light that is filtered through the shade keeps the area surrounding bright. I am 100% happy with this purchase.

There are light sockets (2 - 40 watt bulbs) in the top section only.
I would have given it 5 stars if there were an additional 2 - 4 watt bulb lights in the bottom section also - but, then, it would require a multi-switch (turn on the top 2, etc... lol)
I MAY look into adding these 2 additional lights (by my electrician, of course) myself!

Perfect size, striking look in black, nice to have the shelf on the top. Other reviewers are accurate - the bulb does show through the paper. We use a 40w LED equivalent, making the light softer and more subtle.

Given the picture, I was expecting a less sturdy, less appealing room divider. To my delight, the canvas room divider exceeded expectations. It is easy for one person to adjust and move this piece. The color is a softer white canvas than the photo shows. The size and functionality is also quite good.

Matchstick Shade
This is a simple, easy to install shade. It's a classic look though I would have preferred a roll-up (corded) style but they are hard to find these days. My only criticism is that the hooks at the top (for hanging the height adjustment rings) are made of a soft, thin metal. Fortunately, my kids are grown so there's little chance of them breaking.

Took care of the afternoon sun in our dining room
This solution was a long time coming. we have a massive unusually shaped west facing window in our dining room so at dinner time when we would be entertaining friends and family, the afternoon sun would be blinding and hot ruining our evening supper parties. Well, 24 years later, we finally found a cost effective solution - this lovely well-made screen. The honey color goes with all the warm wood in our home. The wood and jute fits the craftsman's feel of our home. We block the sunlight, enjoy our meal, and when the sun sets behind the mountain, we fold the screen up and put it away. So good.

I bought this beautiful screen to hang in a hallway. The screen is well made with lovely brass fittings. The artwork itself is bright and popping. The background is more golden yellow than cream. It does not detract from the art unless you dislike golden yellow. And, the price, even with shipping, was fantastic (I saw the same screen on another site for about $150 more).

6 Foot Tall Woven Fiber Outdoor All Weather Room Divider
I purchased the white, 3 panel divider and it is just what I wanted! I'm using it outside on my deck to give myself and my neighbors a little more privacy. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Beautiful bohemian impressionist nature scenes. This company is terrific. There was some significant damage by delivery company and Oriental Furniture gave me a full refund after seeing the pictures. My husband is a woodworker and will be able to repair the damage.

For price point, reasonable quality, nice appearance / design, function; though wouldn't be mistaken for luxe.
Pros: Again, at this price point, material good - wood, screen - and construction fine. Stable, sits without risk of falling. Nice contemporary, sophisticated take on Shoji screen. Fits well with contemporary home decor w/ subtle Asia feel. Black w/ white screen worked perfectly.
Cons: Package had been opened and resealed, hence (I assume) a couple small areas of damage to stain / wood, which we will cover with stain stick. Hardware (hinges & screws) are NOT black as pictured, but brass - which kind of cheapens and wrecks the look, so we'll paint or replace (not sure wood substantial enough to risk latter). No feet on bottom, so if you have hard wood floors, suggest self-adhesive or nail-in felt or plastic feet/bumpers to avoid scratches your floor.
Again, nice, tasteful contemporary Shoji at good price point and some small flaws. Recommend with above caveats.

Damaged in shipping/handling. Big gouge in box with styrofoam pieces leaking out. Wood lattice chipped right where vertical and horizontal strips meet. Decided to make repairs myself rather than going through the hassle of returning item.

I ordered two 5 foot white screens. They are lovely and completely met my needs. They let light through but provide the screening I was seeking. There was a bit of inconsistency—one screen was perfect, the other had minor finishing imperfections which may have been incurred during the shopping given that the box was not shape when it arrived. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!
Just what I needed
First, this is take out of the box and use. There is no assembly required. I put this is my bathroom for storage, and I am so happy with this. The baskets are lined, another plus. Wheels to move around if I need to, check. If you are on the fence, buy it. You will find a use for it. Extra storage, kids stuff, sewing, the list is endless, and super cute.

Black Nested Tables
The build quality is OK. The lacquer finish falls short of being satisfying. The old pieces of quality were smooth as silk to touch. A couple more coats of lacquer would have enhanced the eye appeal greatly. The design overall is simple and tasteful but in oriental pieces it's the quality of the lacquer work that makes them so special.
A WORK OF ART!
After seeing the Gold Leaf Secretary Desk on Oriental Furniture’s website & owning the compatible Gold Leaf Jewelry Chest, no other desk could satisfy me. I waited years for this desk to become available. Think: pandemic, shipping issues, hand painted; it took a lot of patience, but I wanted no other desk.
It is better than I expected with one exception. The desk is a work of art. It is heavier than I expected; at least two of the drawers are lined with red fabric, there is more storage than I anticipated which is a plus.
The Exception: the Hinges for the Drop Leaf are not attached to the desk . I don’t know how to fix that. At present, I have taped the drop leaf in a closed position & hope the tape doesn’t destroy the finish. I have sent an e-mail to Customer Care. At this point, I have not received any response. What happened to quality control?
On the plus side: the Gold Leaf desk is unique & beautiful. It is a statement piece of furniture.

elegant look, manufacture could be better
The screen looks very elegant and fulfills exactly the pupose I wanted it for. The manufacturing could be better, the wood is rather rough, so I fear that on the long run, it will not be possible to clean it from dust completely. Coulour is really beautiful.

This is simply a 6 ft piece of folded cardboard - with so much potential! I bought a four-panel and will soon order a two-panel for another room. I'm covering both with my own art paper. Frankly, using one's imagination, these folding panels can be quite beautiful and you can't beat the price.

Very nice 45" Shoji Lamp
Ordered the lamp to overseas, to Finland and the delivery was passed through promptly despite the busy holiday season. Blue and white tile-design room divider

Beautiful lamp but the photos online are not accurate for how the lamp actually looks in person. The photos make the lamp look like an older almost vintage vase lamp where the colors are a bit muted, but that is not the case in person. The colors are bright making it look new. Freshly painted. Blue and white tile-design room divider
This product came in good shape and was exactly as shown and described. I liked it so much that I ordered another to complete the privacy of a small bedroom I've created in a nook. It is very lightweight and though it stands on its own now, it will need some invention to make it stand sturdily.
Only "complaint" is that it took a long time to get to me. I ordered it on the 6th of Sept and it did not get to me until the afternoon of the 24th, 19 days later.

Rosewood Fishbowl stand
I ordered 2 of the largest Rosewood Fishbowl stand. The ordering was simple and shipping was very fast. After receiving them and opening up the boxes, I noticed thar one stand had a leg that was completely broken off. I did not even have to remove the stand from the box to see this. The other stand was fine even though the outer box and interior box had holes in it . I emailed the company to ask for RMA number to return the damaged item and have another shipped to me. I got an email stating I needed to send pictures of the damaged item which I did. The response email after viewing my pics was very apologetic and said another stand would be shipped out ASAP. I did receive it a few days later and it was fine. The stands are very nice rosewood color and look beautiful holding my blue white oriental fishbowl planters. Would definitely buy from this company again.
Nice but some minor damage on arrival
The packaging had some damage which was transmitted to the wood frame. I was able to do a touch up, which covers the dent/chip well enough that it is not immediately visible. The cost in expense and time to return it made our decision right for us at this time. If the Shoji holds up to frequent repositioning, then the cost will be less onerous. The "look" worked well in our home. Our furnishings are eclectic. We were looking for something to block out the setting sun but at the same time not obscure our lovely mountain views.

This is the perfect box for what I was looking for. We ordered the same one first on Amazon and 3/4 of the times we ordered they sent it totally damaged and we returned it. We kept the one that wasn't damaged and we ordered the last one directly from this site as they are the makers of the box (we wanted 2 of these total). They sent us an undamaged box the first time, but not only that, this box is in obviously better condition overall and the pattern and outside look new whereas the one we kept from amazon is faded and not as new looking. We are only keeping the amazon one at all because this is an "olde world" box so if it looks worn that is part of the style, but there is no way I would recommend you order this from anywhere else but here. Beautiful box.
Beautiful Oriental Lamp!
I bought this lamp for a table in the corner of a room and it is absolutely beautiful! It was packed very well - make sure to take all the packing materials out - the harp was at the bottom of the box. I had a problem with the decorative knob which screws on to the harp after the shade is put on. Customer Support immediately sent a new knob out the day I called and I received it in a few days. Excellent customer service, beautiful product, fast shipping & excellent packing! Great company, beautiful product!

These blinds are just as pictured but sturdier than they might seem. The hardware is strong and what I like most about these blinds is that you don't have to pull strings up and down to raise and lower them. With most other bamboo blinds the string that raises and lowers the blinds gets shredded by the lock of the mechanism that it passes through. These clips work really well and the blinds come with extra sets of them.

Beautiful and sturdy
I wanted a zaisu chair to complement the cushions I have for sitting on tatami mats and have been pleased with other orders through Oriental Furniture. My order arrived very promptly, well packed, and the chair is sturdy.
There was one minor problem and what I would consider a slight design flaw; I didn't check the bottom before sitting on it on my tatami. One screw was not fully screwed in and it gouged my mat. What I would consider a flaw is that the sleds, for lack of a better term, would be better if they were rounded on the bottom rather than flush; the corners have scraped up my tatami mat when I was not careful to get up before moving the zaisu.

We were very pleased with the quality of these stands. Normally we prefer to buy antique furniture, but as we wanted two matching stands of this style, we decided to buy these and were weren't disappointed. They are well made, sturdy, and work for our intended purposes (as plant stands). The joints fit together well, and the stands are made out of a heavier wood, so I suspect they will last. Last, they were packaged extremely well in double boxes, so they arrived safely and quickly (the same week I ordered).

I wish I could send a picture of the perfection. I can't see an option for pictures. I ordered the Steel Frame, with a lip on all four sides and the Tatamis from two different manufactures and I hoped for the best. Basically the two tatamis fit truly perfectly.

We bought this screen in mocha, it works really well with our dark furniture.
Our entry way leads directly into the living room, we have used this divider to create a privacy wall to screen off the family area when the front door opens. It works really well, especially because you can adjust the curve to the shape and angle you need. It's sturdy and well- made. We are very pleased with this purchase! Thank you!
Great room divider
Just what we wanted! We got the 6- panel divider in white. It's a really good height, the weaving is lovely and it filters the light beautifully whilst providing privacy. Daytime it works as a screened- off area for home- schooling purposes, nighttime as a screen in front of the large windows overlooking the yard. It's sturdy but pretty easy to maneuver. Nice product!
Large 16" Rose Medallion Bowl
This bowl is impressive, in beauty, craftsmanship and size. I have a curated interior design with generations of wonderful antiques. This Bowl is a standout! All of my friends , thought I paid thousands, for my Rose Medallion Bowl and some even told me, it belonged in a museum. It is even more gorgeous than the picture.

This was just what we needed to help provide some separation and privacy between home office/school areas. The screen is very pretty and light weight. It's more of a visual barrier and doesn't block sound very well, but it's great for what it is and looks nice in the house.

Perfect for our kitchen window

I received my Fan Set fairly quickly and found it to be very nice. Being new to Japanese calligraphy I thought a beginner set would be the best way to start. I'm happy with my purchase and have no complaints however I do think...while it is very nice...it is more of a showpiece than an actual beginner set. Very "souvenir" like. But again, I'm not unhappy with it and it was worth the money. It's usable enough. Just a little small. As for Oriental Furniture...well I found them very professional and friendly. I'd order from them again.
Great Screen
I ordered a 7' 4 panel screen in honey color and am very happy with it. The first one that shipped arrived badly damaged, but customer service took one look at my photos of it and sent me a replacement right away. I didn't even have to return the damaged one. It's a lovely screen and exactly what I need for my qigong studio.

2 Mocha Chests
Very well packed, shipped quickly, nice woven chest, mocha color is very pretty. Nicely lined with linen material. My daughter chose these 2 shelves to help reorganize and rearrange her room. We have wood floors, so are careful not to put anything directly on the floors. The stands are nice quality. Very sturdy and wood is sanded and finished nicely.

This stand is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a single column display case with a glass door, and this is it! I used it to not only store/display my cds but also to display a large amethyst geode on top. It’s perfect! It also was a good price and arrived quickly/well-packaged.

This is what I expected to receive. And it’s attractive, like a rustic French design. However, I knew when ordering it that I would have to reposition the hinges. It shows the screen standing/folding in a zig zag shape, and it will not fold any other way. I don’t care for that asymmetrical and less space-efficient shape. I repositioned the hinges to allow it to bend into more of a U-shape, instead. You also get more width out of it that way, as well as not requiring so much depth. Overall, I’m very pleased with it. A lovely privacy screen.

Window Treatment
We have two huge bay windows in our 70"s ranch. I don't like curtains, blinds and wood shutters didn't feel like the right solution. The minute I saw these screens I knew they would be perfect - and they are! They look great from the street and bring some additional depth to the front of the house.

Rosewood Lamp Base

I know this is not the real thing, from ancient China, but, it is as pretty as the picture, and bigger than I thought. It looks like what you see fr the late 19th early 20th century Chinese porcelain, jars, vases, bowls. Top three reasons I am satisfied with this product:

The foam is fairly comfortable; we'll see how long it stays supple.
For what it is, it's pretty expensive, but for someone like me who doesn't want the bulk of a standard mattress, nor the expense, this is pretty ideal.

Gorgeous lamps
I’ve purchased several of these, as well as the “Shoji window pane” lamps from Oriental Furniture over the years, and they are all beautifully made. I use this in my reading corner, with a trifold mat that converts from a chair to a nap/guest cot. This is a great alternative to a rug or a tatami, both of which I considered. It's attractive. It's not in a high-traffic area, but is sturdy enough for where it is. I like that it rolls up neatly, too.

This is the second pedestal stand that I've purchased from Oriental Furniture. They add a beautiful enhancement when placed below a Chinese bowl. The sizes are very accurate down to the half inch. My only complaint is about an email I received notifying me of the shipment. It listed an individuals name rather than Oriental Furniture and did not describe the item so I did not know who the package was from or what it contained. As I live in the city I have to provide specific instructions to my mail carrier when I am expecting a package. Fortunately I was home when this arrived.

A Perfect Addition
The four panel-silk works well as the focal point above the bed and completes the desired themed look we wanted in our bedroom. The light-weight set of panels was easy to mount but requires a two-person effort. The weight was a plus factor for the earthquake-prone region where we live. Instructions on where and how to use the included decorative mounts would have been very helpful. Two hangers were sufficient but four would have been ideal for a secure wall mount.
Well worth the money
The screens arrived promptly, well boxed and in good shape. They are just as the appear online and serve our purpose well. I move them each morning and evening from a large window and put felt pads on the bottom so they slide smoother and a little more easily. They are light weight, but sufficiently sturdy.

It is actually much more beautiful than the pictures lead to believe. I am very, very happy with it. There was a problem with delivery, nothing to do with Oriental Furniture but when it finally arrived I felt it was worth the wait.
Beware: "Dark beige" color option is actually orange
The product lives up to its billing except for the color. The "dark beige" model we ordered is nowhere close to a beige--it's in fact orange! Yep, no two ways about it, it's definitely orange.

Shoji Screen
The screen is just what I was looking for and it is a great looking screen. The only problem is when FedEx delivered it there was damage to the small wooden sections on some of the screens also both ends had been broken. Al the damage I am able to hide and it is difficult to tell that it was damaged. This problem could be solved two ways. First find a different carrier. Second change the packaging by using four slates on top and on bottom this would keep it from being crushed. All in all I really like the screen.

Assembly was incredibly easy, and within minutes it was working. I bought a very large bulb and a dimmer switch and it emits a beautiful soft light in my bedroom. I then bought a wireless remote control, so all lin all it is perfect. Although the panels are paper, they seem substantial, so I have no concerns about tearing.

I wanted some soft lighting that fit into my Asian decor. These were perfect other than I could see the black cord and silver bolts underneath. I black markered the silver bolts and that really helped.

I live in Southwestern Arizona where we get plenty of sunshine. I bought this to put over Venetian blinds to reduce morning sunlight and heat. What a wonderful shade! I bought a three-panel screen a few years ago to make a temporary door in a bedroom/bathroom area. It comes down and gets stored in a corner when not needed. Perfect boat footstool
I got this to double as a garbage can and footstool for the pontoon. I has gotten rained on a few times in the past month and is still looking good and holding up well. It is larger than the typical trash can which means I can store cleaning wipes and other things as well as a smaller trash. The only down side is that it only has 3 legs so it can be tippy. But that’s an easy fix. This is a great purchase, especially for the price.

Blue & White Temple Jar and Vase
The shipping was almost immediate 24 or 48 hours, there was a chip that unfortunately the lid did not cover on one of the two jars and a matching vase I had ordered. I sent an email about the chip with a picture, was again responded to immediately and sent another in about 24 hours. Told to keep or donate the damaged one. Great customer service.
Also the jars themselves are LARGE and beautiful and only about half the cost of smaller versions. Love them!

Looks real
We have used this divider for more than seven years in the dining room, to block the view into the butlers pantry, walk thru into the kitchen. It hides the trash cans and bottled water dispenser. The pop red in normally dull corner adds a lot of depth to the space. I love the texture and feel the picture is just as pictured. It is very lightweight.

This is the second time I purchase this item. The first purchase is in a bathroom and this purchase is in a hallway. I may place a pillow on it for easier seating. It was very easy to assemble. The legs had to be attached to the seat and directions and a hex key were included. Just Perfect
I bought two of these end tables and used night light bulbs in them just to give a subtle ambiance to the bedroom.
I used the honey which turned out to be the perfect choice for a headboard that is an antique Chinese room divider that is 10 1/2 feet by 7 feet. The honey color really enhances the headboard. Others have said you can see the bulb when it is lit and that is true even with the nightlight bulbs. It really isn't distracting and after a couple of times using them you don't notice.

Nice Looking Blinds
I'm actually using these outdoor to replace some old and worn bamboo blinds. I was glad to find them in red. I had painted the last ones. It's more of a blood orange red color, which matches the decor on my patio perfectly.
Small Chinese wood stands are difficult to find
Oriental Furniture was one of the few sites that carried small wood stands. I ordered two which were promptly shipped and arrived within a week in excellent condition. They also online allow one to sign up for out of inventory size stands so that when they become available one can purchase them.

Gorgeous. Organic and soft but what is mind-blowing is how beautiful the light is coming through the paper! Artificial light (I have them on interior glass french doors) or natural light. These also have some dimension to them as the reeds are not completely flat. The string is soft cotton so not to damage the paper. The white ones are lovely but this cream makes the light coming through slightly warmer which is great on cloudy days.

Happy to find what I was looking for
I ordered 6" stands for a pair of vases and these did the trick. They were well-packaged and arrived promptly.
They are a bit redder than the photo, and the surface is not as smooth. The spray-lacquer surface is shinier, but I'll try using furniture wax to bring it down a bit.
Workplace solution!
I purchased the screens for our offices to serve two purposes. When used on desks as privacy screens they filter background noise during phone calls, which makes it easier to hear without being distracted. We also use the screens on the window sills to deflect sunlight from computer screens during the brightest part of the day. They suit the environment and add some visual interest to the offices. Excellent product, well packed, and well made.
panels make great doors
I used the panels from my screen as doors on an enclosure I built to house a fireplace and my television. They worked extremely well to cover the TV when not in use. Because the panels are light they apply little load to the hinges and the look is great. For what it's worth, the TV remote works through the doors, so if I have a music station like Pandora on, I can adjust the volume. Thanks for a very good product.

Rosewood Pedestal Stand #9 - 4 inches
This item was shipped quickly and is perfect for my application as a lamp stand. It is exactly what I needed.
Not what they used to be
I am replacing older rice paper blinds that are worn and discolored. These are not made with traditional rice paper. They are a thicker, synthetic fabric. Due to the type of fabric they are bulky to roll. Also there are half as many horizontal wooden strips (2" apart vs 1" apart). Which I personally think is less attractive. That said, they should last longer and not be as likely to tear as the real paper blinds. Maybe even better for keeping out cold in winter, sun in summer. I am keeping them since they are hard to find and work ok with my shoji room divider and lamp.

Shoji Blind
I needed a 72" blind which I had to wait for 2 months before they had that size back in stock. Years ago I purchased a paper roll up blind from Oriental Furniture and was very happy with it but you could easily damage it if not careful. Then a few years back I ordered another one. It was not made of paper but some sort of lightweight fabric. In the summertime, I would keep my window open and because of this the blind became dirty over time. The new one is made out of the same material and am afraid that the same thing will happen again. The thing I do like about it is the soft glow when light shines through it. It creates a warm ambience. Just know it's not made of paper.

Good... but
The lamp is good but the cord is wrong. This is a floor lamp. It should have a push-button switch on the cord that is operated by foot, not a flick-switch that you must use your fingers to operate. It isn't convenient to have to bend down to the floor and find the right side of the switch to turn on the lamp every time. The sad part is this is a simple design flaw that could be fixed so easily if anybody thought much about it.

This is a unique and lovely piece. The painting is beautiful and the material is similar to faux leather. I hope they expand their painting collection. One thing that would improve it is if it didn't have 2 black lines down the middle of 2 opposite sides of the box (where the storage unit folds). The lines didn't affect me, because I have two other things on the sides of the ottoman, but I can see that being an issue for some. I love it though!

We love the blinds -- they're what we expected and well made. But they constantly pop out of the housing. The plastic links aren't enough to keep the blind in place for this size blind.

Bamboo blind
This is the 4th blind I’ve ordered from OF. Each blind I trimmed to fit window using a mitre saw cutting off excess bamboo on either side. I also trim the bottom so there isn’t more length than necessary. This is done with scissors ( if you do this be sure to tape the bottom beforehand-Google it if necessary). The blinds tend to be on the greenish side when they’re new but fade to a more natural color in time. They are super easy to hang and look great. I recommend.

I needed something to help darken my bedroom without having the door closed. This red/black is screen perfect. At 7' tall it leaves some space at the top for ventilation but blocks out most of the early light from the living room. It's sturdy enough to stand with stability but light enough that I can move it easily. And the colors look great with my decor.

Nice heavy bowl and I love the design on it. However, I took a star off because the color blue is a good bit darker/navy than the picture shows it to be. Hard to get colors right in a picture though. Other than that, I look it!

The blinds were delivered on time & I like the blinds themselves, but I really don't like the cheap white lift chords, wish they were brown and made of a sturdier, less cheap looking material, I fear that it will eventually snap and it's already fraying from opening and closing blind.

Two of these beautiful lamps grace my guest room bed. They are excellent with the porcelain blue and white images crisp and clear. I am very satisfied. The shades are less than perfectly made and do not match the quality of the lamp vases, but they are acceptable.
It was hard to tell from the online image when ordering what the shape of the vases were. I expected round vases, but they are square. I like that even better, though.

Beautiful Screen Gets Many Compliments
This is a beautiful screen for hanging. I put a spot light on it at night and the gold is deep and shimmering. The reason for a four star is that the edges where the panels meet is a bit frayed and the hanging hardware should be of higher quality and quantity for the price.

Beautiful paper blinds
I had the same blinds for many years and when I needed new ones I was pleased to find these online at a reasonable price and of the the same quality as what I had had before.
However, if I didn't know how to thread the string through the roll-up mechanism already, it would have been hard to figure out because the instructions didn't include how to do this.
I would buy these again.
Very nice looking
I bought the rose colored divider to block air from going down my stairwell. Works perfect and looks good in my room doing it. Only drawback was the dimensions said it was 83.5 in. tall and mine as delivered was exactly 84 in. I was still able to install it but it sure would have been easier if it had been the dimensions as quoted on the website. Still, it looks beautiful.

The background color of the lamp - a cross between cream and beige - was perfect for our room. The birds are colorful and it works well in our home because we switch the accent colors. We tend to use the low wattage on the 3-way bulb. The illumination coming thru the shade is very nice. We had checked out other lamps that were far more expensive. 6 ft. tall double sided cherry blossoms room divider
Fast well packaged delivery.
Minor negative points: right end panel was app. 1/8" higher and the cherry blossoms were not what I would call "vivid"
but still acceptable. Lastly, I first tried placing the screen into a corner then decided to place it flat against a wall and the hinges would not close. Easily fixed by unscrewing them.
Overall, I would recommend this product. It really looks good.
I was impressed with the fast service and looking forward to placing orders for more items.

This is my first purchase from this company. I did a lot of shopping for bamboo blinds and many were a lot less expensive than these. I'm glad that I decided to pay more for a quality product. I hung these blinds in as small garden room to block out the heat of mid day. They really improve the feel of the room and are well made. I also like the bamboo pole that anchors the blind. I didn't need a 72" length but I can easily cut the cords to the length I want.

Stripped Roman Shade - Cream
So lovely and beautiful. The color cream is just perfect for my walls. However, it is a very see through fabric. Does not shut the light from the window. The fabric is very fragile and it would not last very long with the sun baring upon it in the window. So I had to return it. It would be good in a shaded window though.

Contemporary for Any Decor
A simple modern silhouette for my kitchen window. Allows in plenty of soft light but offers privacy as well. Well made with sturdy tape binding at edges. Rolls up and down easily. The only minor issue is that the bamboo rod at the top has gray-ish streaks in places but is not too noticeable. Not sure if it is damage or a natural occurrence in bamboo.

Bamboo Bench
Hello: I purchased two of these bamboo benches. It was delivered on time and the packaging for the product was very easy to deal with. The two benches are identical and of very superior quality. They are built very sturdy and lays flat on the floor without any unbalanced movements, I am very happy with these two benches. It adds a very Japanese feel to my patio area which is surrounded by a Japanese garden. A very beautiful touch.
Beautiful Blinds
I love these blinds. They let a beautiful soft light through which is very calming, cutting out glare on a sunny day, which is useful for my studio room. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the packaging. They are quite easy to damage but the main problem is the fixings are inside the blind and the instructions tell you not to open the blind until it’s hung. Otherwise, it’s fantastic.

This is a beautiful, atmospheric lamp. It is cleverly designed with matching bamboo flaps in the back that allow you to insert light bulbs. Lightweight and elegant in its height and design. I love the subtle but long length of light it creates. Perfect for a difficult small space I had. It's the lamp I turn on first and always.

Nice but ...
My use was to hang on the wall using the singer side. The 6 ft image was just a little too blurry to use for a focal piece. However I did wind up using the other side which was either printed clearer or because of the more complex lines, the blurry image was less noticeable. Also note the wood frame on one of the panels was warped making it difficult to hang flat but if used as intended as a divider you probably will not notice this.

Beautiful and understated
These are really very beautiful without seeming heavy or loud. Installation was pretty easy. Even though the instructions said not to unroll the blind until it is hung, the instructions and some of the hardware are rolled up in the blind. It also seems you need to reverse the direction it is rolled, at least once it is hung.

I like the lamp a lot, it came well-packed and was easy to put together. It looks good. The lamp cord and socket didn't work though, and I needed to replace them. I don't have the original packaging so I can't return it. Kind of a big hassle.

Gold Leaf 8 Drawer Cabinet
It arrived by FedEx, fortunately first delivery of the day. It was well packaged; box, styrofoam, box, styrofoam, more packaging, it was in excellent condition. My only suggestion would be that "This End Up" would have made it MUCH easier upon "de-boxing". I live alone, in good physical shape, 58 year old gal, but when I realized it was upside down, I taped it back up, placed it on the floor, then righted it very carefully. I am quite pleased with it, I am a pianist, and my music needs a home, looks elegant and lovely in my living room..........

Seven Fish Lucky Canvas Wall Art
Perfect accent for my dining room. Picture is not a standard size so I thought I would have to have it custom framed, however the canvas includes the frame appearance so it was just a matter of placing the nail in the proper place in the wall and hang it! Very pleased! Nice bright colors that brighten up my Asian themed dining room.

This is my 2nd review; the first was in 2015. I needed to replace a couple of these blinds as having been used since the 1990's, the strings were frayed and there was no way to restring them.
I am pleased that these blinds are now being made whereby they can be strung. However, I just order new ones. But this added feature really came in handy as somehow the strings got all discombobulated and I thought I was going to have to return them. But I was able to restring it and have it hung in less that 15 minutes.
These are the best blinds and I would recommend them to anyone wanting less dust in their home as these do not collect dust as regular draperies do.

Exceptional quality and workmanship. This piece is solid, sturdy and will last for generations unlike many of the Korean furniture sold today. I am truly impressed as I already own a lot of Korean furniture that are definitely not well made like this one. Roll up shade
We needed a shade for the window on our back door for privacy. This is almost perfect. It did not appear on line that it would be opaque, it is. It filters light during the day which I did not want. That said, i like it and the colors are perfect for my great room. I would buy it again.

bamboo love birds roll up blinds
Lovely, I was able to apply a water color wash of blue paint to birds and flowers, to go with my decor of blue and yellow. They came out beautifully. Very well made and they create a beautiful filtered light during the day and provide privacy at night. Love them, I also have Monet's poppy bamboo blind in my guest room, which is a dusty coral color, looks fantastic.

Great for french and front door windows.
I am so glad to have found these - light yet provide enough coverage and privacy for my french door and a front door window. I purchased some self-hanging adhesive hooks and they were up in less than 5 minutes. I also like the clean, modern lines. Sometimes they become uneven when raising but a little adjusting fixes that.

Absolutely Beautiful
The computer does not do this picture justice. It's quality, colour and dimension that I have ever seen on any wall hanging in 40 years. Trust me when I say the price and shipping combined is very inexpensive compared to the quality of this beautiful piece of art. The colours are brilliant, sharp and outstanding. 14" Shibuya Japanese Shoji Lantern
Unlike some of the reviews I have read I find that the lamp is delicate but not overly so. With care I suspect it will last a long time. One issue is that the decorative vertical stays are poorly aligned. Quite a few are not perpendicular to the top or bottom rings.

Tower Bridge
Very interesting print and would make a nice addition to one of my walls. But just so you know... that's the Tower Bridge. This is standing next to the Tower of London and Canary Wharf. That's the Tower Thistle Hotel in the left background.

18" Floral Blue and White Temple Jar
As a licensed Interior Designer in the state of Texas, I can say this piece is truly monumental and very impressive. I am showing it with the lid on the table next to it and an enormous fall dried arrangement in the vase. Without the lid, this is a perfect vase. Pieces of this size are unusual to find. No porcelain of this size is ever under $100. What a catch!

I bought this as a room divider for my efficiency apartment. Not only did I achieve that objective, but this screen energized the entire environment. Great for privacy
Our conference room has a glass wall and these will allow us to have privacy when needed. They are light enough that we can easily move them from storage to the conference without a hassle.
Gold Fishbowl Planter
Saw this pic (been shopping a long time) and decided to finally make the purchase. The price had gone down and I did want this. It arrived well packed and promptly, however the item did not have the indicated rectangular shadowing detail. It was a plain metallic gold fishbowl planter. I will keep it as I did want gold BUT it is not the planter that is advertised. here.

Beautiful little gem
I bought this to use in my home office - not for jewelry, but for misc things like paper clips, appointment cards etc. It is so much nicer than expected. the drawers slide in and out perfectly, and have plenty of room for small items. The inside of the drawers are lined with an oriental design paper as well. The gold on the front adds a nice touch of opulence. For jewelry, the mirror is good sized, and is attached to the top, so it slides up & props itself up in the top layer of the box. It lends an old world/sea captains touch to my office.

I have 10 or so [regular] sitting Buddha statues, mostly smaller but several larger. I like them all over the house lest I forget we are all always perfectly in Bhudda-mind when we remember to see it so. I kept seeing this happy prosperity Buddha, didn't think it was the style I liked but couldn't forget it, kept going back for another look until finally ordering it.
I admit I was afraid the quality just wouldn't be there given its low price. Wow! What a happy surprise. This is beautiful. Good weight. Good size. Great detail. It absolutely enhances the mood of any space in which you wish to place him. I love this happy Buddha.

6 ft double sided screen Cranes
I received my oriental screen in excellent packing. It is beautiful. The canvas colors are even prettier than in the picture. It is light and easy to move around. I have it behind my piano in front of my patio glass door. It keeps the bright sunshine out and will help absorb some of the piano sound, since I live in a high-rise condo. I may order another one for my balcony.

Chinese Lacquer Credenza
This piece came quickly, with delivery by FedEx. The credenza was double-boxed and included styrofoam padding. The piece, unwrapped, was in perfect condition. The red lacquer is the same color as shown in the picture, a darker-red color. It looks lovely in my living room. I'm very pleased.

This is lovely cabinet and just what we wanted in every way. The shipping packing was worth the delivery fee. Not Colorfast
The divider is beautiful and just what I wanted for my apartment. Unfortunately I found out that the print is not colorfast when I knocked over a glass of water that splashed onto the canvas. Where the water hit and ran down the canvas the colors have run as well. Keep it someplace where it wont be in danger of getting wet.

This is an amazingly beautiful blind! I like it enough to place three different sizes (it comes in 5 widths) of the blind in differing rooms. In my three seasons room it serves as anchors for the bank of windows and in the guest bedroom it is a perfectly wonderful blind. For this room I used the 72" blind.

Liltingly Peaceful
The design and sound of these Asian chimes are wonderfully well balanced. Light, not heavy, the chimes are in our front yard attached to a branch of a very large oak tree, and when the wind blows each day, the sound radiates and flows throughout the yard mixing with the birds' calls. It does help me through the pulling of weeds as well as adding to the mellowness of planting new flowers. These chimes would be a great house-warming gift also!

Lovely Blue & White Porcelain Bird Cage Lantern
This lantern is lovely and high quality. Just the right size for a small table. The candle opening is very small (which is the reason for 4 stars, rather than 5). Be sure to measure opening before purchasing candles. The lantern arrived in a timely fashion and securely packaged.
Authentic
This lantern completes the Japanese "feeling" of the room. It is something that a guest would be surprised to see and at the same time have the feeling they are in a Japanese inspired home. It is sturdy and made of rice paper. It is placed on the floor but would look very dramatic on a table.
Serenity in a large city
I purchased several of these lanterns to hang from the ceiling of the patio roof. I used an iron rod as they often do in Japan, to suspend each lantern from the ceiling. At dusk, I light the lanterns. Living in a very large city, 'the glow inside the filigree brings a serenity to the end of the day.

These are very handsome and sturdy. Also they are very long, so for a regular bedroom or kitchen window I had to cut off the bottom and paste back on the wooden base. But it works well. I bought two, and my house looks more pulled together. BTW, the "cream" is golden-ish not alabaster-ish.

I was shopping for a screen this size to hide my messy table where I keep my paints and brushes. I paint in acrylics, in a corner of our lanai, visible from the large open space in our house. Lamp looks great! Came well packaged and very quickly. Thinking about getting another one,or at least another style from oriental furniture. They have so many great ones to choose from. If I had any issues at all it would be that the switch isn't close to the lamp, but more by the plug. That wasn't enough to keep from giving it five stars though!

Well-crafted Altar Bench
I chose this bench to hold my Ofuda. It is a distinctive and honorable choice. The assembly required is quite easy. I am quite pleased with my purchase and recommend it for any need to display objects to maximum effect.
Completely satisfied
I just received my black lacquer Peaceful Village Coffee Table delivered by Fed-Ex. The deliveryman and I got the box into my front hall, no problem (it's only 24 inches wide off the pallet).
It's extremely well packed with an outer and inner box, both lined with foam cushioning. While the outside box had some scrapes, the inner box was in perfect shape.
Cutting off both boxes, a small crowbar was needed to remove the protective leg bracing. A hammer and screwdriver would also have worked.
The table was in perfect condition. It is exactly as shown in the picture and feels of very nice quality... very substantial with a fine furniture presence.
Normally I am very critical of web purchased furniture, but I must say that I am completely satisfied in all respects.

Beautiful pillow. The fabric is more of a type you would use for outdoor furniture- but definitely feels "spill proof" in case something gets spilled on it. Much more for decorative purposes indoors. Nice accent piece.

This lamp gives off the loveliest glow and adds just the right peaceful touch to my sunroom. There is only one thing that I would change if I could - the switch to turn the lamp on/off is located near the end of the cord near the plug. It would be much easier to use if it were up higher near the lamp itself.

I love, love, love this panel. It's high quality and is perfect in the space! I purchased it 2 weeks ago and it came in no time. It is well made and the packing was super secure. That said, i have just looked at the website, and see that the price is now reduced almost 35%...in 2 weeks!

The Cabinet is made of real pretty color rosewood.
Not only I love the cabinet but also I love this company's customer service. I had a problem with Fedex as they kept delivering damaged packages. I contacted customer service and Adriane took care of me. I'm happy with the cabinet and very happy with the company. I was drawn to this set as a gift for a friend who does European calligraphy; thought he might enjoy trying Oriental. The company had also offered a coupon, which clinched the deal. The first one arrived with one part broken but the company was wonderful to deal with and they sent a replacement immediately, accepting a photo as proof, and without making me return the broken set. The only thing that would make this set even more perfect would be if the closure clasps were made from bamboo rather than plastic, but that is a very minor thing. I love it and so did the recipient.
Rosewood Ming End Table
I purchased 2 of the Ming End tables in Rosewood to match other Asian design furniture I have. They arrived in perfect condition and packaging was very well done. Legs and the triangular pieces were easy to attach. Other than some of the triangular pieces a bit loose (but will not fall out) I am very satisfied with the tables.

This lamp is outstanding. I agree with others about the grey background and subtle peach blossoms, but once you get it put together and in place, it is not an issue. This lamp replaced a dark wood spindal taller lamp with a dark basket weave shade. This lamp just makes a statement and lightens up the space. You will not be disappointed.
Used this lamp in my bedroom and also have 2 blue and white Chinese lamps on the other side of the room. The faded peach matches the base color of my bedspread.

Beautiful Blossom Blinds
We are so happy with these beautiful bamboo blinds! After a wonderful trip to Japan, I wanted to find something Japanese to add to our decor. I saw these Sakura blinds but was not sure if they would work for us. Luckily, the blinds could be trimmed to fit the width of our windows, so after success with the first one, I ordered another. They are quite pretty, and look like Japanese scrolls when they are unrolled. They seem to be sturdy enough as well. Thank you for offering these! The only issue I am having (and it may not be a real issue) is that I want to change the side that the cord hangs from on one of the blinds, so that the cord will be on the left side (hidden by a curtain).

I was thrilled with this divider and no assembly required! I ordered it to hide an air conditioner vent on the wall of my lanai. It serves the purpose, looks beautiful and is a lovely conversation piece. Every fault's a fashion!

I would have given the lamp 5 stars but putting the stand of the base was quite difficult as the depth of the base is too shallow to allow the lamp cord to be pulled through without a lot of force and the cord getting crimped. Had it been just a little deeper that would not be an issue. I do like the look of the lamp and wish there was a medium size version of this lamp

Exceeded my expectations. This was for my newly remodeled office. I've received a lot of compliments on the fan. You also made it easy to hang by including the two small loops on the back of the fan. I used the removable hooks and after the wait time "to set" required by the manufacturer of the hooks, the fan was up in under 15 seconds.

The stand is elegant and simple. It also adds two inches to the height of my temple jar. The stand completes the look of the temple jar.

The temple jar arrived on time and in good condition. I needed something tall for a fireplace mantel and this 18 inch jar is a great height. I also purchased a wooden stand/base separately which added another two inches to the height. The blue coloring of the jar is a bit duller than I had wanted, but the price was right.

Had a bad start to the experience when we opened the box and saw horrible packaging with the statue broken to pieces, but customer service was wonderful and we were sent a new statue quickly and intact. It is beautiful and we love it. It will recline in the bay window next to our freestanding tub overlooking the zen garden. Love it!

Look great but having some issues
We used these over a sushi bar in a restaurant, and they look good. Our electricians were able to hardwire, use LED bulbs, and put these on the control system for the space. The issue is that now, 8 months later, the rice paper is starting to come unglued and even falls off. We won't specify them again for the future projects we are doing with this sushi restaurant.

Bamboo Roll-Up Blinds
The blinds are fabulous. Remind me of materials I see in authentic shoins. Real (not plastic) bamboo, with that faint dried bamboo fragrance and natural coloration. Hard to find this sort of thing anywhere but in Japan itself.
I had a problem with shipping--one of the three blinds didn't arrive, and someone else's single item order came instead. But this may have been a FedEx problem, where labels got switched. In any case, Oriental Furniture rep. fixed things by sending me the third blind.

Beautiful and sturdy. Used three 5-panel Shoji screens to create a divided room in a finished basement. The wood bottom panels add weight and stabilize the screens.

Wonderful Pruduct & Service
These screens are fabulous. They perfectly fit in front of large windows and allow you to have the blinds fully open yet you have complete privacy without having a dark room. They look so very Japanese when setting in front of your window or even a sliding glass door would do well to have one of these to give complete privacy yet allow outside light to come into the room.

Nice for door windows
I have one of these 24"W espresso blinds over a long window on our kitchen door. Beautiful coloring, matches description perfectly, works well & was easy enough to install. Blinds pull a little to the right though. Like one side of the blind was sewn tighter than the other. If i gently pull at the bottom right hand corner for a few seconds it will even out, but it always goes back to its original tautness. Overall still a great product.
Beautiful but incomplete
This is the first printed bamboo blind I have purchased from this site. I was sad to see that when I purchased the smallest width (for our bedroom door window) Kwan Yin's hands were cut off on the sides. Disappointing since it takes away from the full effect of the art. Still love this blind though. Pull strings are a little higher quality than other more plain bamboo blinds I have bought from this site. Overall still a great product. Easy to use and install. And still beautiful even with 8 of Kwan Yin's hands missing from the picture.

Wonderful blinds! I purchased 4 of these at 36"W to remodel our living room/dining room/kitchen. Color is a bit lighter and more "red" than in the picture but they make for great shades! From inside you can see outside but from outside these appear to be a solid wall of bamboo! I highly recommend these bamboo blinds!

Mounted my 42" TV on the wall and this unit was perfect to hold the cable box and connect wires in the back while leaving several shelves for knicknacks and other technical stuff. Tall enough to hide all the cables and wires hanging off the back...love it!

This is a very nice lamp and if I wasn't trying to compliment an existing lamp in my guest bedroom it might have worked. Be careful if you're looking for a white background...it's grayish and why it didn't work for me.

Received my cabinet today and very happy with purchase. It is a beautiful substantial piece that can compliment many different decors. The shelves can be removed and you can easily customize the storage areas. This was especially important to me. It is a lovely addition to our home. Delivery was fast and easy through Fedex.
Flimsy
String and hardware is flimsy. We had to change soft cotton string that it came with for stronger cord. Six-foot wide shade sags in middle when rolled part way down because it needs a third pulley and cord in the middle to hold it even with the ends. Matchstick bamboo, however, is of a good quality.

Bamboo Screens
Aesthetically speaking the blinds are wonderful however construction is flimsy. Given the wood is brittle there no effort was made to ensure sturdiness or strength of the screens.
As a result, the support beam across the top of one of the screens cracked with a gust of wind estimated to be in the 25mph range.

This attractive floor pillow is a functional addition to your decor. It is a great way to add comfort for sitting for great lengths of time on the floor (eating, watching television, meditation). I use mine for my Japanese tea room while enjoying tea or enjoying incense. It is well-made and I look forward to many years of use.

Got the 72" size. The colours seem a bit more pinkish than as appears in the image online, but nothing too concerning. I was happy to find something in this style in the size I needed to fill a larger space. I haven't hung it up yet, as the two odd mounting brackets included don't seem like quite what I need. Will likely have to make a run to the hardware store and get a bit creative with figuring out how to mount it nicely.

This piece is very well made and is a very attractive design. My disappointment in the color does not detract from the fact that this is a very nice item. I searched the web for days to find just the color I wanted. This is close...I'll keep it...but it is not as pictured and described on the website. It is actually a very pale grayish beige. I wanted something more in the yellowish beige range. I also think the item is a bit over-priced, but then again, I was willing to pay for just the right color, etc. I was aware of the risk. Oh well.

Beach room divider is absolutely beautiful on both sides. Makes me feel as if I am actually at the beach.

I didn't much care for this chest. It is very light weight, almost like cardboard weight. The woven fiber had imperfections. The inside of the drawers were a white nylon like material. I thought perhaps it would show dirt or stains. The chest is the right size for a small space. The company's service was very good.

This is my second 'botanical' screen. Love it as much as the 1st one. The only negative is that I did not see an option for frame color. The frame on my first screen (purchased well over a year ago) is a green/mossy color. The new screen has a darker brownish color. Other than no frame color option when purchasing, the product and service is worthy of 5 stars.
Good functionality for the money
The construction is pretty lightweight -- what one would expect for the cost -- but will serve the purpose of organizing homework papers and materials in the dining room (where we do homework). Looks OK with my more expensive asian buffet -- have yet to see how it actually wears.

Made very well. The bamboo is beautiful. Color looks same as in image. Though it isn't a privacy shade. You can see through to the lighted side. In evening, someone from outside can see in, in the day you can see out.

Beautiful Product. There is a crack on the frame, which is more than I described it; as a hairline. Did it happen in shipping? There should be some recourse, even if it's a doable and effective solution by you. Too costly to accept as is; too much trouble to send back. New one might be the same. Will add positively to our decor, if the crack doesn't get worse.

This screen is exactly what I wanted to hide the furnace and water heater in what once was the pantry of an old house I've been rehabbing. If anyone is sitting on the fence about ordering this blind, just order it because you will love it!
I have these blinds on 9 other windows and 1 door in my home; this one I ordered finally needed replacing and it had been hanging since the 1990's.
This blind came packaged great; delivery time was excellent.
The only downfall was that the blind was cut a bit askew but you can adjust it by moving the large hook it hooks onto.
Great blinds for letting in minimal light unless blind is raised but just note that at night it becomes see-thru as there is no privacy filter with it.
However, I can't say it enough that I just love these blinds!

I bought this originally for my bedroom, but I ended up using it in my living room to divide the dining area from the sitting area. It is really lovely, easy to move yet sturdy. One side does not show through to the other, even with lights on behind it. Very nice item and reasonable price for the quality.
Not what they used to be
I ordered these from you about 5 years ago and the quality was much better. The 'new' blinds have the bamboo slats spaced farther apart and it seems that is the issue. Also I am not sure the paper is of the same quality. I'm disappointed because I loved the ones I had but the new ones aren't as nice and roll up nicely like the older ones did.

Love the Look!
I ordered this to fit over the window on my bedroom door that leads out to a sun deck. I will not be rolling it up or down as it's for privacy so the length of 72" is perfect. If you mount any of these with a "scene"on a wall,then they look as shown. I gave it one star less because I had to purchase black out material at a fabric store to put on the back because when the light hits it, you can't make out the picture. I think it will be a great conversation piece & it was time for a change from a curtain! The product arrived very quickly & I would order from here again!

I am very pleased with this trunk. I am using it as a coffee table for a small sectional sofa with attached chaise. I needed a gold coffee table that was between 24-28 inches in length. The frame and light fixture inside are really nice, but I was disappointed with the white fabric screen. The screen is much too thin as you can see the light bulb and the light is not nearly as diffused as it is in the 19 inch model I bought before. That model's was superb. I'm having to buy some shoji material from another company to install myself behind the sheer fabric of this model.

Exactly what we needed
Got the 6-panel screen in Natural to section off part of a basement. We needed to separate the rec room/garage band area from the more cluttered storage area and this fit the bill perfectly. The jute also helps with acoustics, dampening the drum sound ever so slightly. We're planning to order a second screen to extend the size of the space.

This is a beautiful piece of furniture/lamp that adds a lovely ambiance to any room. It's especially nice that it illuminates the floor with a soft glow and it reminds me of tatami mat rooms in which I've stayed in Japan many times.

I waited and waited in anticipation of the temple jar but when it finally came it was in a bad way. First there was broken glass at the bottom inside which looked like leftovers from the kiln and the color was not even blue and white. I returned it. Hope no one else experiences this.
Everything I Expected
This is everything plus more than I expected. It's perfect for a space that can use a soft Japanese light. I thought I was going to have to wire it myself from what I read, but it instead comes with a plug and switch that you can simply plug in. It's truly gorgeous.

We love the room divider. It is made of quality material., fairly easy to put together except for the last step when you have to screw the bambou screen to the wood... There where no holes in the wood to screw the screen to so we made holes .it worked out fine and it looks great.. I highly recommend this product and give it 5 stars.

I love these blinds. My apartment came with the standard plastic blinds that let virtually no light through. I felt like I was living in a cave, but I didn't really want them open since I live on the first floor and wanted privacy. I put these paper blinds up today and the room is so much brighter - I love them! I have total privacy but still have sunlight. While they are somewhat fragile, they are not as fragile as I thought they would be.
They came with screw in hooks to hang the blinds, but if you don't want to use those, the blind's loops (the little metal loops in the photo) will also fit over those Command damage-free plastic hooks (the kind that use the sticky tab on the back). The apartment manager didn't want me taking the plastic blinds down, so I had to try and hang the paper blinds over and around the plastic blinds - and the Command hooks worked great.
The packaging was excellent too. I really wasn't sure what to expect but I am SO happy. They're a great deal.
Sheer Dellight
This shoji lamp is well-crafted and easy to assemble. It will accent any decor, but definitely adds oriental charm to your home.

I really like the lamp. Very nice design and size. The sixty watt bulb gives off plenty of light at just the right height next to my couch. The in line switch is the rocker type not the wheel and I like that. Came well packaged. Could not be more happier. I would post a picture, but so far don't see a place to do so. Came quickly too, I recommend this business to friends, bought other stuff there over the years.
Let Down
I was a bit disappointed to see such poor craftsmanship on these plaques. I am beginning to realize that gone are the days where you can get an authentic BEAUTIFUL black lacquer plaque from China. Never-the-less, I hung these plaques in my bedroom and they add to the rich antique feel of the room. I will be selling these plaques at a yard sale as soon as I can find a WELL-MADE mother-of-pearl set of plaques. Not totally disappointed, but let down all the same.
Striking simplicity
We bought two of these to mark the back of our Zen garden bed. The weeping cherry tree in front of the screens was highlighted beautifully, and the whole garden looked complete. Our home was recently on a garden tour, and we got many compliments--and questions about where to buy these.

The 2' screen is exactly the right size for a counter or table top. I use it to hide a TV set and it is the perfect size for that. And the workmanship is good. The reason I gave it 3 stars is the quality of the wood is not great. In the light pine, every knothole and striation shows. I have a 6' screen with clear pine, so it is possible. Perhaps the painted versions are better looking.
A Most Exquisite Work
This will serve as a place to store my stocking, gloves, scarves, etc. that generally must find refuge in some nook and cranny. It does not take up a lot of space while providing ample room for all that requires such a storage safe haven. I have another small piece of similar design which houses my jewelry--a very fine piece, indeed.

I was very disappointed in the color of these Ginger Jars. They appear to be blue and white in the on line catalog, when in reality they are blue and gray. Other than that they are satisfactory.
Looks Very Elegant
This is a nice piece of furniture; it is good quality, and there's no chemical smell like you get with other new products. I'm told it's made with solid elm wood. The gold color is soft and is not overpowering. It looks nice as an elegant cabinet for the living room or any room. I've decided to use it for a Buddhist altar in my zendo. It works well.

The Woven Jute Roll Up Blinds were exactly what I wanted and needed. The quality of the jute and the quality of the produced end product are first-rate. The cord for the roll up is also strong enough to last a considerable time before there will ever be a need to considering re-stringing this product. The Shoji screen is a great way to cover a wall as well as use as a room divider. I choose to use as wall decor & this screen is great. Its clean looking. I got the 4 panel. My next piece will be a 6 screen for a larger wall.

Great screen but color is off
I like the screen, it is well constructed and attractive but the color is very different than the picture. In the picture it appears to be more red, but in reality there screen is equally red and black.

The clarity of the figures is poor, and it looks like the figures, etc. were printed from a photograph and applied to the surface. The quality of this cabinet is poor. When I wanted to return the item, this company would not pay for return shipping, thus, I will be out about $80 just to have had the privilege of looking at the cabinet.

I ordered this room divider with five panels for my sister. She is in college and shares an apartment with several other students. great blinds
I had some ugly, cheap looking accordian blinds from another company and I took them down. The room is a bunk room at my little lake cottage. I left the valance but the sun was streaming in, in the morning and there was a need for privacy, because there is a deck outside the window. I purchased 2 of these blinds. My husband and I quickly installed them. Voila!! They are PERFECT! The wven jute blinds look beautiful and they are quite opaque.

Chic design element
A dramatic presence....but perhaps not worth $199 after shipping. The upright pieces are definitely spruce, but possibly not the base. It has a painted finish with no grain that doesn't quite match the upright sections. Something not posted in the description: the lamp has a floor switch, not a pull chain or one up near the bulb. That would have been a deal breaker for me if I'd known it. Rather than go through the trouble of returning it, I'm looking for a creative way to place the button somewhere within arm's reach. If I get desperate, I may have the lamp rewired.

Beautiful Statue
This really is a high-quality statue for this size and for the price. I found the faux bronze patina a bit dark, so I spray painted it with antique gold paint. This really brought out the detail and, to me, really enhanced the presence of the statue.

Birds too Big
I bought these because we have guest coming from out of the country, so I wanted to decorate our guest room with a relaxed oriental feel. The blinds are of good quality but the Birds are way too big. Customer Service was good and told me I could return them, which I was intent on doing but my teenager asked me if she could have them. So in all fairness I must say while I think the birds are too big!! thus my 3 star rating. But My teenager (girl) likes them.
resting on the wall
I placed the mats against a black painted wall on my basement, whihch doubles as guest bedroom and gym. It looks beautiful, like a very unique wall colour and texture. Plans are they will work for both: a guest dleep and an occasional floor workout. But they look so good simply as a soothing wall, a rest to the eyes.

nice looking but sags in the middle
This blind looks nice but at 5 feet wide it definitely needs a support hook in the middle - not just one on each end. I am trying to figure out how to support the middle as it sags and detracts from its appearance. Also there was an "instruction sheet" included for a safety application with only a sketchy diagram and no written instructions - unable to figure this out.

Lovely Lamp
I ordered this lamp with the Shoji screen. The screen arrived in perfect condition. However, the lamp arrived with one small piece of wood missing from the top of the lamp (the criss-cross feature). Luckily, the piece of wood was in the packaging so I was able to adhere it to the top of the lamp and it's hardly noticeable. Otherwise I love this lamp and again the rosewood is beautiful!

Not blue.
I received two of these lamps to use on my nightstands. I was anticipating a beautiful blue color, however this "cobalt" is more plum than blue. If you are looking for a true cobalt blue, do not buy these lamps. Otherwise they are gorgeous, just the wrong color for my decor. :(

What a difference these can make!
My mother used these wooden stands for lots of things and I learned early on what a difference these lovely wooden stands can make.
They make a pretty or beautiful object look so much nicer - it creates a very finished, polished and focused look.
I have a perfume bottle collection and just placed a very tiny stand under a small but very unique bottle that I wanted to stand out. It created just the effect I was after.
Awhile back I also ordered two stands for a pair of wonderful antique vases I have flanking on my fireplace mantle and they created such a finished look.
If an object needs a little height in order to create a balance in an arrangement, this is a wonderful way to arrange the slight height.
They changed an average looking lamp I have into something that looks much nicer, just by adding one of these stands.
If you have never used a stand for anything, I suggest you choose an object you would like to create a small highlight for and try one of these stands out. Just remember to choose the type of stand that best suits the object - the object in question should be the focus and the purpose of the stand is to highlight and to draw the eye to the specific object you want to highlight. Much like a nice frame makes a picture or photograph stand out, these stands serve the same kind of purpose.

Perfect end tables!
The (2) that I ordered arrived EARLY and safely. I have searched many sites (and visited stores) for the blue and white stools and they are perfect for our outdoor screened in porch. The top is smooth so our glassware did not tip over. I was concerned since many I viewed had a slight slope. They look just as they do in the pictures. Brackets for silk print
Item was 3 days late, but may have been due to bad weather on East Coast.
Item worked well, but was not well made and paint was peeling off.
Overall, made installation much easier, but silk print needed three brackets to keep print from bowing.
Also, item would have been much sturdier if it was one piece and didn't have a swiveling center that joined the two separate pieces together.

This Thai Angel is just as pictured on the web page, but perhaps even more beautiful. The sparkling crystals highlight the gold and black on the Angel which is a feature that may not be seen as clearly on the web page.

Beautiful colors popped the living room
Lovely and pleased with the final look hanging over the sofa. Got the 72' and the background was a perfect beige, no yellow as others noted. The painting provides the pop of color and details needed for a neutral room. We didn't know how to install the (2) brass hooks, and there were no instructions. Figured it out after reviewing some of the images online. The brass design hook should be visible to the eye and screw the bottom row into the back of the painting frame. The 1st and 4th panel of the painting didn't lay flat against the wall and had to use two-sided tape to stick it to the wall.

I truly love this shoji screen. I have several now, but I rescued a cat from the animal shelters and she has made several scratches on the screens. Any suggestions how I might repair this and/or what I could treat it with to deter the cat. She's young and healthy so this will be a long-term problem. My last cat lived 19 years, which is the longest relationship I've had in my adult life.

I would give it five stars but for the problem that our rice paper shade arrived with a small dent in one corner, so I have to think that the packaging is not as strong as it should be for a shade that is this fragile.

Wow, perfection! The colors are even better than seen online: deep saturated blues, shining golds and royal reds. I gasped when we opened it. The beauty and grace are equal to the qualities the revered Tara symbolizes.

We pulled off the 1.75"H legs and placed a 48"W x .75"H glass top on the Natural color base. This coffee table looks very beautiful on our living room creama marfa marble floor. This is a very nice company to deal with.

Great Blinds
These do the job for our sunroom perfectly: block out most of the streetlight at night and give privacy when needed. Easy to take down if you want. My only reason for not giving five stars is that the color is a little more yellow-brown and lighter than I expected from the pictures and other reviews (and yes it does have a greenish tinge) and that some hanging instructions would be good - it wasn't hard in the end, but there were a couple different types of hardware offered, and it would've been quicker if we'd had instructions to sort them out.

Great Purchase
I purchased two of these statues for my newly renovated bathroom. I wanted a zen-feel to the bath,coupled with pictures from India and Thailand; these two statues sit in look out spaces above built in cabinets, flanking my claw foot tub. They have a very regal and quiet beauty and add so much to my bathroom.
Corner table makes a small hallway look beautiful
I love the pedestal table. I ordered it in red laquer and was so surprised to see how beautiful it actually was. The picture did not do it justice. The detail is so elegant and the top is gorgeous. I placed a Chinese Vase that was a gift on top and it looks elegant........a look I am trying to create in a medium size condo. Love it so much!

Beautiful lamp, great price! I bought a pair for my master bedroom. However, i was surprised to find the finials to screw the shade on were plastic color purple, which I found very odd. I am now looking to replace those with brass oriental finials.

We love the 6 Ft. Tall Long Life Shoji Screen. It arrived quickly and the red color was perfect and exactly what we expected it to be. We recently bought a new home that did not have a bathroom door on the master bath. This screen provides some added privacy. The light filters through and it is beautiful to look at. My husband was extremely impressed by the way it was packaged. There was a hole in the outer box when it arrived but the inner box and wrapping kept the screen intact. We will definitely buy more products from this company.

I was very pleased with this storage ottoman. It arrived in great shape and was the perfect size for my small living room. Seems nice and sturdy although I wouldn't want anyone sitting on it. It holds quite a lot.

The screen was exactly as shown and arrived in perfect condition. I was concerned about the durability of the paper panels but Customer service answered all my questions by email very promptly and assured me that replacement paper was available should the need ever arise. Hopefully i won't need it: the paper is much sturdier than the traditional rice paper my mother had in her shoji screen when i was a child.

Excellent lighting
The two lamps we purchased fit perfectly with the oriental decor of our living room. We also purchased two 1600 lumen (100 watt equivalent) LED lights, which provided the lighting level we had anticipated.
We especially liked the rice paper shades that came with the lamps, as they did not detract from the setting of the furniture, pictures, and two other table lamps we already had in the living room.
