Bamboo has long been admired in Japan as a symbol of longevity. Groves of this stalwart tree were traditionally grown around Shinto temples to provide a ward against evil. This shoji paper blind will meet many of your decorating needs.
I got these blinds for double sliding doors in our den. They look stunning...like a piece of artwork. They are pretty sturdy considering they are made of rice paper. I think over time the sun is going to fade the black print but I will just replace it at that point because the blinds are so affordably priced.Super easy to install and well made.

These blinds are just beautiful and incredibly inexpensive! These are the best looking, most well made blinds/shades I've found in this price range. The construction feels sturdy and the shoji paper has a nice, soft fabric-y feel. They offer privacy while still letting in plenty of daylight. My only reason for a 4 star and not a 5 star rating is the rolling mechanism. It's really rather simple but not as easy or as neat looking as the enclosed systems of brands like Levelor or Redi Shade. I would definitely recommend these for someone who wants something cool and unique but who is also budget conscience.
