This Tatami Platform Bed is made of Beech and Birch wood done in a stunning honey finish. It is the perfect addition to your zen inspired bedroom retreat.

Available in four sizes, Twin, Queen, King and California King.
Also available in black and walnut finishes.
Can be topped with our tatami mats and futons, as well as with standard "Western" style mattresses on top of the tatami mats.
Designed to fit with our Tatami Mats in the corresponding size, to be purchased separately. See below.

Gorgeous and functional

This bed frame is an amazing and functional work of art. The craftsmanship is elegant, simple, strong, sturdy. Although it is about 100 pounds in the box, if I had to move the bed myself I could after disassembling the hex joint corners. The fittings are strong and the frame sits solid with no movement or sound. The design is very thoughtful and I am grateful to the collaborators of this functional creation as someone who has bad circulation and lower back problems. I sleep very well on this bed. It is the best bed I have ever slept on. Also I love that it sits low to the ground at 10 inches. Even if I put a futon on top, it will only be 18 inches high at the most, but my mattress toppers make a 3 inch mattress on top which works for me.
