Beautiful black lacquer secretary desk with drop- down desktop. Front panel, sides and drawer faces are overlaid with striking 24 carat gold leaf, and hand painted with a delicate “Birds & Flowers” design. Finished in a rich, clear lacquer. Inside, a practical configuration of vertical and horizontal slots as well as small drawers on right and left for pens and paper clips. Clever and sturdy design with extending desktop supports Top, back, desktop, and desk interior finished in black lacquer. Brass handles are clear lacquered to resist tarnish.
