The Japanese platform beds are designed to use either a single (twin) or a pair of classic Japanese design tatami mats to fit perfectly as a foundation for a single, queen, king, or California king size American mattress or futon. These platform beds can accommodate either a standard mattress foundation or a pair of tatami mats. Our selection of Chinese design black lacquer headboards, with beautiful hand painted gold landscape decoration, accommodate twin, full, queen, and king size standard American bed frames and mattresses.
